Terms and conditions

Kantaja is an AI spreadsheet editor operated by Axel Adlercreutz (the "seller", "we"). By using Kantaja you are contracting with Axel Adlercreutz, and by continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you use Kantaja on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organization; if you use it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to enter this agreement.

The service

Kantaja lets you edit spreadsheets in the browser, import and export .xlsx files, and use AI features: an assistant that edits the workbook through logged actions, prompt written formulas, and the =AI() worksheet function. Paid plans add larger daily AI credit budgets and higher workbook limits, as described on the pricing page.

We work to keep Kantaja available and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep it updated, keep your credentials confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Kantaja within your selected plan. You may not resell or redistribute the service, reverse engineer it, or circumvent technical limits such as credit budgets or workbook caps.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

• use Kantaja for unlawful purposes, fraud, or spam
• infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• interfere with its security or operation, including distributing malware, probing, or scraping
• use the AI features to generate illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, or malware, or attempt to jailbreak or misuse the underlying models

We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter AI outputs, and suspend accounts to enforce these rules.

AI features

AI outputs are generated by machine learning models and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for your prompts, for verifying outputs before relying on them, and for how you use them. AI outputs are not professional advice, and are not suitable for regulated professional use (legal, medical, financial or similar) without qualified human review.

You keep the rights to the content you put into your workbooks and attached files, and you must have the necessary rights to that content. As between you and us, you own the AI outputs generated from your prompts, to the extent permitted by law. If you believe content in Kantaja infringes your rights, contact us and we will review and, where justified, remove it; repeated infringement leads to account termination.

We process your workbook content and prompts only to provide the service, as described in the privacy notice. You grant us the limited license needed to host and process that content solely to provide the service.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; when you cancel, access to paid features stays until the end of the paid period. See the refund policy.

Intellectual property

Kantaja, including its software, design, documentation and branding, is and remains the property of the seller. These terms grant no rights to it beyond the limited right of use above.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When access ends, you can export your workbooks as .xlsx for 30 days, after which your data may be deleted.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill, and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such liability cannot be excluded. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, unlawful use, or violation of these terms.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, and disputes belong to the courts of Sweden, without limiting mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these terms; continued use after an update is acceptance of the new terms.
